Accessing Other Libraries In the North East area

The collection in the school library has been specifically developed to support the learning and research needs of students at this school, but by the time you reach senior school you will need access to a wider range of resources. This page presents a summary of where, when and how you can easily access resources beyond the school library.

  • Free membership (even if you don’t live in the TTG council area)
  • Free Library Tours can also be arranged. [see your friendly teacher librarian to arrange this if you prefer]
  • There are 28 PC’s available for public use. All have Internet Access and Printing. One PC has Publisher installed and a Scanner attached.
  • Photocopying Facilities available at reasonable charge
  • Inter-library loans can be arranged for books kept at any other public library.
  • Apart from books and magazines you can also borrow videos, DVDs, E-books, cassette or ‘spoken’ books, large print books. You can also search for and request books in another language e.g. Chinese.
  • Local history collection and services
  • Library and remote access [free] to the following databases as an individual library member:

  • Secondary students may apply for borrowing privileges using their current student ID card. An annual charge of $110 (GST incl.) applies.
  • Photocopies of journal articles from other campuses can be obtained. Charges apply.
  • Photocopiers are operated by using a card from a vending machine in the Library. The card can be used in the Library at all metropolitan campuses.
